UMPIRES – TIME LIMIT ON QUALIFYING GAMES – BYLAW 18
A new innings will not start if the previous innings finishes later than five (5) minutes before the games scheduled finish time. At the scheduled finish time an innings will continue to be played until the home team (i.e. second at bat) is ahead, or the innings has finished. Scores will stand as at the finish of the game.

SCORECARDS
Thanks to all that filled in their score cards correctly. A couple of things to make note of and put into place from round 2.
1) Please ensure your score cards from each game match prior to handing back to the Plate Umpire who will sign the cards and hand them in. If scores don’t match, scorers will need to consult scorebook with the umpire.
2) Registered Players Names on the back to be written in Black or Blue, not Red – and please ensure they match the name they registered on StackApp.

FIXTURES
All delegates have been emailed the fixtures that required amending – thanks for your patience!
New published fixtures will be uploaded shortly

We are looking for feedback in regards to running a Mentoring Umpiring Program aimed at developing and training beginner umpires from ages 16 & up. Any participants under this age will need to have approval from the current committee before participating in this program. The aim of running this program is so the participants that would not usually be able to umpire at our association due to age restrictions can gain some valuable skills and lessons with our association umpires.

This program also aims to create and develop the supportive culture required to make umpiring a valued and attractive pathway to engagement and participation in Softball. If you feel your club and members would benefit, we would love to hear from you!
