IMPORTANT NOTICES
Scorers - Scorecards MUST have full names that the players were registered with, not nicknames, please make sure surnames are correctly recorded.
If you are borrowing players from another team, those players need to be written in red and under the borrowed players section (in red as well).
Umpires - Can umpires please print their names as well as sign and make sure to check that the scorecards have the same scores.
Fines - Just a reminder that when you are paying fines to the CSA Committee include your team name and the invoice number please.

Directive: Emergency Vehicle Protocol
Play must be stopped immediately if an ambulance or other emergency vehicles in close proximity to the field/fields. The game shall not resume until the vehicle has safely cleared the area and officials confirm it is safe to continue.

Umpires
Calling Fly Balls – Expectation
Fly balls are an essential part of our game and deserve to be judged with confidence and clarity. Umpires play a vital role in ensuring these calls are made decisively, supporting the fairness and flow of play for everyone involved.
We encourage all umpires to step onto the field prepared and assured in making these calls.
If you are not yet comfortable or confident in calling fly balls, please step back from officiating until you are ready to do so with confidence.

Umpire Call Changes
A call can only be changed by the umpire who made it (base umpire). The plate umpire cannot step in or overrule on their own.
After a coach questions a call, the base umpire decides whether to get help.
If help is requested, the base umpire brings the plate umpire in for a discussion.
The plate umpire provides information only if asked.
The final decision always stays with the base umpire (either uphold or change the call).

No Reverting Back
👉 There is no “revert back” rule at CSA.
All participants including those officiating the games are asked to follow the by-laws and familiarise themselves with the clarification outlined below:

Canteen Notice
All concerns or requests relating to the canteen must be directed to the Canteen Manager. Please do not approach junior staff regarding these matters.
Additionally, please be advised that the canteen operates as a food service. The bar manager and canteen staff are not obliged to provide items that are not food-related.

GAZEBOS
Teams may use our Gazebos stored in the green shed, but you must return them after each game. Before packing down after the first game slot, you can ask the next team if they'd like to use it, but you need to remind them that it's their teams responsibility to return it back to the shed. Please remember there are fines for leaving the gazebos on the diamond.

Teams that attended the Delegates meeting were able to purchase scorebooks for $10.
Scorebooks will be available to purchase from the canteen.
If a teams scorebook is unavailable, scoresheets are available from the canteen.
