Sadly, during the off-season, we lost a prominant CSA member
Barry Clarke (Redbacks) – CSA Chief Umpire to 2021
Barry played with Redbacks until he was seriously injured in a game that ended his playing career. He remained active as an umpire, coach and mentor until he became ill in 2022.

Others member’s who passed during the off-season may not have been brought to the committee’s attention and still others are only know amongst their teammates and supporters.

May they all be fondly remembered.

PRE-GAME REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY
Before each game in this round, we will remember and honour them all with one minute silence.
Plate umpires are asked to announce the ceremony in honour of Barry Clarke.
Teams are encouraged to announce the names of their team-mate before the silence.

BLACK ARMBAND
Players may wish to wear a black armband. Tape will be available at the bar.

MEMORIAL FUNDRAISER – Barry Clarke
Redbacks will be hosting a fundraiser with all proceeds going to a charity chosen by Barry’s family.
